June 2023, I started a GNH (Gross National Happiness) project in my village, Mérindol, South-East of France, with 15 volunteer citizens, and citizen projects municipality budget. The idea is to experiment GNH tools (mindfulness, U theory, shared governance, nonviolent communication, GNH indicators), and slowly sensibilise them to the approach and way of being.
After one year, we arrived to a GNH questionnaire.
It brings a change of mind, very slowly.
Next step is to get more results, to study them also with AI, to involve more institutions, the mayor …
I feel like fear of this paradigm shift. The municipality budget stopped for the moment. I need new ideas and energy to move on.
